Breaha Wallin: Board Chair

Breaha Wallin is a communications expert whose career experience includes public affairs with the Fortune 50, The Dow Chemical Company, and managing a $1M budget and global communications for joint venture Dow Kokam. Since 2013, Breaha has acted as strategic consultant to corporate and non-profit clients across the United States. Following her brother Journey’s struggle with mental health challenges and subsequent death in 2013, Breaha was inspired to co-found Hattas Shay International Foundation and Journey’s Dream. As acting Board Chair, Breaha guides the Board in co-creating a world where mental health recovery is the mainstream expectation and everyone has access to excellent, multi-faceted care.

Aimee Canfield

Aimee brings 20 years of diverse experience with progressive responsibility in business integration, strategy, corporate governance, finance, and information systems through roles at major global corporations including Arthur Andersen, SBC Corporation, Ecolab, and Essendant. She earned a B.S. in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Aimee also spent nearly 6 years in Dusseldorf Germany exploring new cultures, languages, and customs with her family. She was actively involved at the International School of Dusseldorf as First Vice President of the school’s Parent Faculty Association, coach of the middle school girls volleyball team, and outside hitter on the school’s competitive adult volleyball team. Aimee also served as Secretary and Treasurer of the American Women’s Club of Dusseldorf, an international not-for-profit organization that brings expatriate women together for charitable purposes.

Back in Illinois, she enjoys supporting her sons’ academic and soccer dreams, connecting with family and friends, long drives on country roads, and continuing the personal journey to achieve balance and maintain perspective in all that life presents.


Dr. Albert H. Mensah, MD

Dr. Albert Mensah is the co-founder of Mensah Medical in Warrenville, IL, a clinic that specializes in the treatment of biochemical imbalances, and the cognitive (and physical) disorders caused by those imbalances. As a physician in this specialized field since 2005, Dr. Mensah has treated over 30,000 patients using all-natural, non-pharmaceutical, advanced targeted nutrient therapy. The practice includes the management of cognitive disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, behavior/learning disorders, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, anxiety syndromes, childhood and adult schizophrenia, alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s Disease, as well as family medicine. Dr. Mensah’s extensive clinical experience in biochemical imbalances began at the former Pfeiffer Treatment Center under the direction of William J. Walsh, PhD. Dr. Mensah regularly presents at conferences internationally, participates in physician training programs, and consults with other health care professionals.

Dr. Albert Mensah received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois) and his medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences-Chicago Medical School.







Dr. Timothy Hayes

Timothy J. Hayes, Psy.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Crystal Lake, Illinois.  With over forty-four years of successful experience doing therapy with individuals and families, Dr. Hayes teaches people to use a variety of tools for personal and spiritual growth that help people create positive change in their lives.  He has written and talked extensively on the concept of Power Struggles and how to avoid them.

In addition to his role as consultant, therapist, and parenting expert, Dr. Hayes is a presenter, teacher, and keynote speaker on wide variety of topics related to spirituality, mental health, relationships, parenting, and the mind/body connection.

Brenda Steinberger-Domienik

Brenda Steinberger-Domienik has successfully found wellness after years of medication and hospitalizations. Her hope is to encourage and inspire others struggling with mental health challenges to create a successful life.  A life that allows balance, clarity and joy.  By offering her experience and perspective, she believes we can all change the planet’s perception on mental health and be the hope so many are looking for as they navigate their journey to wellness.
